Room Share & Bedsits
Sharing a room with another traveller can be common practice whilst travelling on a budget, especially in high-density living cities. The key to this type of accommodation is respecting each other’s boundaries and allowing everyone to have their own space.
Bedsits consist of a rented room within a house where all residents share the kitchen, bathroom and lounge room. Often the lounge room area is converted into another bedroom. This type of arrangement is effectively like renting a miniature studio, generally with a bed and wardrobe provided. People often bring their own TVs and radios. Just remember to have a lock on your bedroom door as bedsits can have a more transient population.
