About

This brand new festival began in 2015, and is already looking to become one of the biggest festivals in all of Norway. Held at Tusindarsskoven (the Thousand Year Forest), almost 30,000 people attended this event in 2015. It’s in the middle of the Danish summer, with mild sunny days and cool nights. The name of the festival was inspired by “the Tinderbox” story, written by famous Odensian author Hans Christian Anderson.

The festival showcases international acts of a wide genre range, including rock, alternative rock, pop, hip-hop, metal, electronica, house and world music. Performances start in the early afternoon and go late into the night.

There are three major stages, where most of the main acts take place. The “Magic Box” is a fourth stage, set up specifically for electronic music, which in 2015 included the likes of Calvin Harris and Axwell /\ Ingrosso.

Headliners for 2015 included Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Calvin Harris, Robbie Williams, All Time Low, The Prodigy, Royal Blood, Modest Mouse, and Oliver Heldens.

The 2016 lineup is yet to be announced but keep your eyes on the official Tinderbox website for more info to come.

Odense is the third largest city in Denmark, and is known for its nightlife.
