As undoubtedly one of oldest and largest Christmas Markets in Europe (running annually since 1570!) the French town of Strasbourg offers some of finest crafts and treasures across the numerous sites and 300 wooden chalets. It is renowned as one of the best markets in all of Europe and in one survey (held across 10 destinations) was voted as ‘Best European Market, 2014’. The markets each offer different attractions so visit all in order to capture the full “Strasbourg – Capital of Christmas” experience! Some of the markets include: Christkindelsmärik, The Cathedral Christmas Market, The Croatian Village and the Market of Christmas Delicacies of Alsace.
